Christy Hooley’s Snickerdoodles
Snickerdoodles Ingredients 1 1/2 C. Sugar (plus 1/4 c. for sugar/cinnamon coating)
1 C. Shortening
2 Eggs
2 3/4 C. Flour
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. Cream of Tarter
1/2 tsp. salt cinnamon
Cream together the sugar and shortening.
Add eggs, mix well. Sift together dry ingredients then add to mixture. Roll dough into balls. Then coat the balls in a mixture of 1/4 c. sugar and 2 TBS. cinnamon.
Smash flat with a fork. Bake 10-15 min. at 350 degrees.
Snickerdoodles are my fave! Can’t wait to try them.
